What is your return policy for custom karaoke discs?
Custom karaoke discs are just that - custom made for you. As such, they are not returnable unless defective. If proven defective on Karaoke Wizards test equipment the disc will be replaced with a new identical disc. If not proven to be defective on Karaoke Wizard's test equipment, the disc will be returned to the customer and the customer will be charged $10.00 for testing, shipping and handling. If a custom karaoke disc contains fewer defective songs than the total number of songs on a disc, Karaoke Wizards reserves the right to replace only the defective songs onto a new disc that will accompany the old disc.
Where does Karaoke Wizards get the custom disc songs from?
Karaoke Wizards doesn't produce any of the songs that are available for custom karaoke discs. We are licensed by a number of manufacturers to reproduce their karaoke songs and compile them onto custom karaoke discs. Often, a single custom karaoke disc will include songs from several manufacturers including: Easy Karaoke, Priddis, DK Karaoke, Music Maestro, SunFly, Tropical Zone, and others.
Are these custom karaoke discs legal to own?
Absolutely YES! All copyrights and royalties are paid in full by Karaoke Wizards for each and every song.
Can I hear a sample of the songs?
Yes - some. Karaoke Wizards do not offer song samples directly. The song samples can be heard at this site: Listen to Samples Here Simply enter the song title or artist to listen.
What if I can't find the song I'm looking for?
While Karaoke Wizards offers one of the most extensive collections of karaoke music available, we don't carry every song ever made. Try looking on partial song titles just in case you have the title a little off. For example, if you want the song "Walking After Midnight" by Patsy Cline try entering "After Mid" as the title. This would eliminate the possibility of confusing "Walking" and "Walkin'". Also, look up songs by the partial artist's name. As an example, some people have difficulty spelling "Zeppelin" correctly. Instead, look under the artist's name of "Led". Karaoke Wizards is unable to create any songs that aren't shown on the web site.
Why can't I get brand new releases on custom discs?
Karaoke music manufacturers intentionally withhold recent releases from the custom karaoke disc system until each song has been released on a manufacturer's pre-manufactured standard disc for at least 3 months. This establishes the popularity of certain recent releases while allowing the manufacturers to make a reasonable profit from the sale of their pre-manufactured discs before allowing the song to be used by Karaoke Wizards.
Do you have songs available that aren't shown on your web site?
No. We have no secret list of hidden songs. The songs shown on this web site are every song available through Karaoke Wizards.
How many songs can I put on a custom disc?
We limit the number of songs on each disc to a maximum of fifteen songs. If you were to order sixteen songs, we would custom make 2 each, 8 song discs for you and charge you the preferred $4.00 per song rate. Accordingly, if you were to order 21 songs our wizards would create a 10 song disc and an 11 song disc.
Do the custom karaoke discs have demonstration vocals (also called a multiplex disc)?
None of the 17,000+ songs that we offer have a demonstration track.
Do you provide the lyrics to the songs on a sheet of paper?
Of course, all of our songs display the song's lyrics on a television set when played in a CDG comparable player. We do not supply a hard copy or printer (on paper) copy of the song's lyrics. You can find the written lyrics to almost every song ever written by entering the word "lyrics" followed by the song title into most search engines. For example, the lyrics to the song Sounds Of Silence would be entered into any search engine's search window as "lyrics sound of silence" without the quotation marks (").
Will my custom disc play on my DVD or CD player?
In order to view on screen lyrics on your television, you need a CDG or CD+G compatible player. If you insert an Karaoke Wizard's Custom Karaoke Disc into a non-cdg compatible player, you will hear the music but will not see any on screen lyrics. Please understand that most DVD players are not CDG compatible and while they will play the music, they will not display the words on the television screen. Karaoke Wizard's Custom Karaoke Discs will even play in most car's CD players, but without television graphics (the words).
Will my custom disc play on every karaoke player?
Custom discs do in fact play on 99% of all karaoke players. On rare occasion we have received reports of a custom disc not playing on a certain karaoke player. This is a rare condition and may be due to the player being of significantly poor quality, needing to be cleaned or the laser lens may be out of adjustment. Every CDG karaoke disc manufactured by Karaoke Wizards conforms to industry standards for the CDG format. Sometimes a custom karaoke disc will not play on a karaoke player that does play other CDG discs. This does not mean that the custom disc is defective. It means that the karaoke player may be less sensitive for reading certain brands of CDG karaoke discs or of an obsolete design as compared with current models. As an example, Karaoke Wizards has been informed that certain models of now discontinued RSQ and JVC CDG players will not play custom karaoke discs. IF IN DOUBT, DO NOT ORDER A CUSTOM KARAOKE DISC (see Return Policy).
Sometimes I see the song I want listed 2 or 3 times. How do I know which to choose?
The same song may be listed multiple times by the same artist if different manufacturers each license Karaoke Wizards to use their renditions. Once you place your order, the Karaoke Wizards will begin compiling your custom karaoke CDG using the best versions when multiple choices are available of the same song. Our wizards will always choose the rendition that most closely matches the original song. In short, it doesn't matter which you choose, you will get the best version available.
Our wizards will ship your custom karaoke disc order via First Class Mail delivery. Karaoke Wizards is located in Washington state. First class mail to the east coast can take as long as 5 to 7 days. At check out you will be offered to upgrade to Priority Mail service (2 to 3 day delivery per the USPS) for only $6.50.
No, Karaoke Wizards only offer First Class and Priority Mail Shipping services.
Does everyone like your custom karaoke discs?
Not everyone who orders our product is pleased with the songs. We would be lying to claim that we have 100% customer satisfaction. Statistically, for every 1000 custom karaoke discs we ship, less than 3 results in complaints. The most common complaint is that the volume of each song sometimes differs between songs. This is a result of using songs from different manufacturers. We here at Karaoke Wizards have no control over the instrumentation, arrangement, tempo or volume of the songs that we are licensed to use. Another complaint is that the renditions sold by Karaoke Wizards don't sound the way the customer remembers the song (often from 30+ years ago). Music is an art form and as such is subject to different judgments by different people. Remembering that people rarely write letters of complement but often write letters of dissatisfaction, in the past year we have received more than 50 letters of praise and only 6 letters of dissatisfaction.
